Another nice write up , Bill. Thanks for your efforts.

You have Weal listed on Patrick's line with Weiss on the fourth line. Do you think they roll like that and what are the chances of Patrick and TK seeing more ice. I guess that will happen when they stop making those cute passes they got away with in juniors.

Brossoit has been more of a tire fire than MJL's takes.

The boys have a good chance tonight.

You just know that means he breaks out with a 40 save shutout tonight.

I mean Brossoit, not MJL.

I'm going for a 40 post dissertation on why Hak is still the man to be the coach.

I got a lot of good microbrew in the fridge for tonight's game because I see it being one I need lots of beer to wash from my mind.

Hmm, opposition's starting goalie is out, top Dman injured and superstar center is under the weather; what could possibly go wrong?

I think those lines are mixed up because we know Hak isn't going to let the kids free wheel.

Schenn with the hat trick last night. I know I know... Tarasenko & Schwartz....

I wonder why St. Louis didn't hold onto their first round picks and just play Lehtera on that line.

Bill,
It would be interesting to see if the Flyers could pair Patrick with someone who could match his game, speed/power, but also help guide his defensive play. If Jake and Raffle didn't do so well with Flipper, I would suggest they be paired with Patrick.

Failing that, putting Giroux with Patrick is still interesting to me. Not sure who to put on the right side...Simmonds (?) ... but G can scoot, he can throw hits, and he knows how to back check.

How much of Patrick's issues are getting over injury and learning the league all at the same time...and how much it is because frankly the Flyers wingers are either undersized and young, or slow, or...Jake, Simmonds, G and Raffl. That is about it.

I'm with you re Patrick. I wouldn't mind seeing something like:

TK-Coots-Voracek
Giroux-Patrick-Simmonds
Raffl-Filppula-Weal

If you don't like having all RH shots on the 2nd line, you could put Raffl on the right side, move Weal to Filppula's left and put Simmonds on RW with those 2.

Hoping to see Konecny, Weal, and Patrick dominate in their combined 12 minutes of ice time tonight.

Technically, if you've been up all night, the scotch is actually way overdue.
